ScarletWell: Mobilize Recovery: Campus Surge 2025

Mobilize Recovery is bringing the Campus Surge 2025 initiative to Rutgers University – New Brunswick as part of a nationwide effort to address the challenges of substance use and mental health among college students. This event aims to raise awareness, provide resources, and empower students and the Rutgers community to become advocates for recovery on campus. Rutgers will highlight what they are doing in the addiction and recovery space, as well as the people who are making it happen.

This workshop will guide you through the process of developing a comprehensive assessment plan. You will learn to articulate clear learning goals, design a curriculum map that aligns with these goals, and effectively measure program success. We will explore a variety of direct and indirect assessment techniques and demystify the difference between programmatic and learning-focused evaluation. Whether you are launching a new program for Board of Governors review, revitalizing an existing curriculum, or aiming to improve your current assessment strategies, this session will provide you strategies for success. EmPaCT: Difficult Conversations Drop-In Clinic

Feeling anxious about addressing tension with a colleague or discussing conflict with a supervisor or report? Would it be helpful to role play, write a script, or practice what you're planning to say? Workshop your challenge, listen and learn as others' practice, or request a private session to sharpen your edges. Experiment with different talking points and strategies for effective and respectful communication, and get real-time feedback from a conflict navigation specialist. Practice makes comfortable — don't be shy! First come, first served. First Thursday of the month, 12:30-1:30pm. One-time registration required to access the virtual meeting space.

OTEAR: Assessment Strategies for Inclusive STEM Classrooms (Virtual Interactive Workshop)

This workshop will provide concrete suggestions for incorporating summative and formative assessments to advance program outcomes related to inclusive learning environments in STEM classrooms. Strategies will be scaffolded to provide easy-to-implement assessment techniques and others that take additional time and effort. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss how to implement within their courses and share their strategies with colleagues. This session is included in the Classroom Inclusivity Series for Competency 2.
